The Role:
Due to the rapid growth within the Southland region, there is now an opportunity to work alongside the existing Southland team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute and grow with our dynamic and expanding business.
Core responsibilities:
Analyse and interpret farm related financial accounts to determine trends, financial ratios and other key insights.
Use information provided by farmers and their advisors to create financial models and compare these to industry benchmarks and historical performance.
Prepare reports for both farmer and bank audiences. Be able to tailor these reports to the complexity and requirements of each customer, and the requirements of the Bank(s).
Identify opportunities to improve our systems, processes and reports, and then execute on those changes to ensure we maintain our efficiency, accuracy and relevance to the marketplace.
Identify areas to grow and expand our revenue streams in line with stated business objectives.
Support the Directors & Client Directors with the day to day management of key accounts.
You will:
Have at least 1-3 years accountancy, banking or credit analysis experience.
Have an affinity with the agricultural sector, and a desire to improve outcomes.
Be able to interact and communicate effectively with banks, farm business owners, farm financial controllers and farm professionals to solicit, interpret and provide judgement to the information required for the farm credit process.
Have strong interpersonal and judgmental skills.
Have the right attitude, willing to learn and be engaging.
Be efficient and accurate.
Have a desire to grow your skills and be comfortable with change.
Look to grow your customer relationship skills to a point where you are able to lead existing relationships and foster new relationships for the business.
