We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to become an integral member of our Real Estate team.

We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary (we refer to this role as a Legal Practice Coordinator internally) to become an integral member of our Real Estate team in Auckland. You will be working closely with the Real Estate Partners and wider team, with a wide range of PA, secretarial and administrative tasks. This role will see you:
- Provide effective and professional team support and coordination across a wide range of needs from managing partners’ diaries to typing legal documents and assisting with compliance matters
- Liaising directly with clients to organise meetings and events and communicate with them on administrative and certain file matters
- Taking charge of the team’s monthly billing process and managing certain client engagement requirements such as file status reports
- Assisting team authors with settlements and property transactions
With previous experience in a legal secretarial role and/or administrative role under your belt, you'll be ready to take the next step in your career, adding real value to a supportive and busy team.
Who will you be working with?
Our Auckland real estate team are experts in all aspects of real estate law. They act for a broad range of clients including global and local investors and developers, multi-national corporates, Government and businesses across many sectors. We work on clients most important matters including acquisitions and disposals, complex development agreements, leasing arrangements and major infrastructure projects.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A proactive approach to your work with the ability to show initiative and work on tasks unprompted whilst anticipating the needs of the team
- Impeccable time management and ability to prioritise workflow to meet deadlines
- Highly tuned administration skills
- High standards of professionalism, including communication, accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong team mentality, skilled at fostering and building internal and external relationships
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and commercial sensitivity
- Previous experience in a similar role and experience completing monthly billing
- A confident user of the Microsoft Office suite
