Kia mahi ngātahi mō Pōneke mō tōna āpōpō | Working together for Wellington's future.
We're looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to join our City Revitalisation communications team. This is a fixed term role until June 2027.
Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role
Wellington City Council's Communications group works to help support, enhance, and celebrate what makes Wellington great: we're a resilient city with strong communities, wild and beautiful spaces, and a creative heart.
Our job is to build trust and confidence in the Council through good communication, help keep Wellingtonians informed and engaged, encourage people to participate in decision-making, and share the stories that make Pōneke unique.
Our City Revitalisation communications team supports a wide range of work that's underway to improve our city. From large-scale civic construction projects to transport improvements, to renewal of water and waste systems, to economic development initiatives, there's a lot of exciting things happening in this space. You'll contribute to the design and delivery of strategic communications that support these important Council initiatives.
Our wider team includes external communications, content creators, social media specialists, engagement specialists, media relations experts and our creative and brand team. You can draw on the expertise of your colleagues in the areas where you want to learn and grow, and in return you'll share your own unique talents to help us build our collective ability.
