About the Role
As a Resource Manager, you will oversee the allocation of technical talent across various projects. You will work closely with Sales to gather the right information to ensure our teams are set up for success. The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing technical teams, whether as a former Tech Lead or in a similar resource management role within an agency or tech-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resource Planning & Allocation: Determine and allocate the necessary resources for projects, ensuring technical teams are aligned with project demands and optimizing capacity and skill fit.
- Collaboration with Sales: Work closely with the Sales team to extract relevant details on upcoming projects and help inform hiring and staffing decisions.
- Hiring & Onboarding: Partner with recruitment to identify, onboard, and integrate top engineering talent efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Leverage your experience to refine our approach to resourcing, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and that we continue to meet the demands of our growing business.
- Monitoring Resource Utilization: Track how resources are being used, identify potential weak performers, and improve resource allocation to meet financial targets.
- Margin Management: Ensure resources are being effectively utilized to maintain profitability while still meeting project needs.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience in building and managing technical teams, either as a Tech Lead or Resource Manager.
- Strong understanding of engineering skill sets, project needs, and staffing strategies.
- Ability to work closely with Sales and leadership to align business goals with technical execution.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to track resources and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret various needs and make decisions about resource utilization.
- Comfortable working in a remote, international work environment with distributed teams.
- A strategic thinker with a solid track record of delivering results in resource management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as human resources, organizational development, business, or a technical discipline.
- Experience in human resources, resource management planning, or employee relations, ideally in a technical or agency environment.
- Proven success in managing resource allocation and improving operational efficiency.
- This role is open to candidates who can engage as independent contractors (C2C) outside of the United States.
