Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable 1st/2nd Year Carpenter Apprentice to join our clients growing team in Christchurch. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, gain hands-on experience, and work on a variety of projects alongside our skilled carpenters.

About the Role:
As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting with a wide range of carpentry tasks. You will receive on-the-job training, and mentorship to help you progress in your trade and complete your apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of wooden structures, frameworks, and fixtures.
  • Work with timber, plywood, and other materials to build components for residential and commercial projects.
  • Follow instructions and work safely while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Use and maintain basic carpentry tools (which you will need to bring).
  • Learn and develop your carpentry skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.


Key Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in carpentry and construction.
  • 1st or 2nd-year apprenticeship experience.
  • Basic set of carpentry tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
  • Physically fit and able to perform tasks that require manual labour.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Own transport.
