About the Role:
Nau mai haere mai to BestStart Motutaiko Street! Our team of caring, dedicated teachers works closely with whānau, children, and our Taupō community. We provide children with the chance to connect with their community and the Tuwharetoa land around them.
We recognise that you and your whanau are your child’s first teachers and we create open and positive relationships with families to support each child’s learning and development. Parental involvement is greatly encouraged, we value our partnerships with whanau, both within the centre and on our online learning platform Storypark.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week.

As a caregiver, you’ll make a difference in children’s lives by providing a safe and stimulating environment. We challenge you to bring creativity and enthusiasm while working with our team. This role involves working closely with tamariki, participating in daily activities, and supporting the centre’s operations as well as:
- Provide exceptional care and education
- Engage in team activities and extend children’s learning
- Support centre activities and staff breaks
- Assist with daily centre operations
