We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Service Advisor / Warranty Clerk to join this aftersales team and ensure the smooth processing of warranty claims and exceptional customer service.
The role As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between customers and the service team, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, coordinating vehicle servicing, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties and accountabilities:
Greet customers and assess their service needs
Provide accurate information on vehicle maintenance and repair services
Schedule service appointments and manage customer expectations
Liaise with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service completion
Communicate service progress and costs to customers
Upsell additional services and maintenance when appropriate
Maintain detailed service records and ensure accurate invoicing
Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
Accurately process warranty claims in line with manufacturer guidelines
Verify warranty coverage and liaise with technicians to gather necessary documentation
Submit, track, and follow up on claims to ensure timely reimbursement
Maintain detailed records of all warranty transactions
Communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers regarding warranty matters
The skills and experience sought
Previous experience as a Service Advisor / Warranty Clerk or in a similar, customer-facing role in the automotive industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
A current, clean driver's license
Solid knowledge of manufacturer warranty processes and policies
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficiency in dealership management software (e.g., Kerridge, CDK, Pinnacle, or similar)
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
