At BestStart, we are recruiting Reliever Teachers to join our Reliever Team. Our Reliever Team plays an integral role in the operation of our centres nationwide. As a teacher for us, you will have the opportunity to work with our Tamariki and make a difference to their learning and development.

About the role:

As a Reliever Teacher, you will be working alongside the permanent staff and be involved in the day-to-day activities of the class. Looking for guidance of where you may be needed but also using your initiative to see opportunities to be helpful and a part of the team. No day will be the same, as our BestStart Relievers can work across any of our centres, offering a variety of work daily.

To be considered to work as a Teacher, you must have the below:

  • NZ qualification in ECE or Primary (BEd/Grad Dip) Level 7 minimum
  • NZ Registration current (Provisional or Full) with NZ Teaching Council
  • NZQA endorsement completed for overseas quals must be endorsed at Level 7 or higher and be endorsed to work at NZ ECE level.
