An awesome role has come up to work as a Senior Library & Council Service Assistant, Children & Youth in the Kaipātiki Local Board. This is a Fixed Term oppportunity that is a 38 hour position which includes a weekend day. Starting asap and ending in January 2026
In this role, you will be working closely with and supporting our Senior Librarian, Children & Youth. To plan and deliver programme and events for tamariki and rangatahi. You will be ready to step into a senior role, being a role model in providing outstanding customer service and supporting the team with day-to-day library operations. You will have the opportunity to work closely within our local communities through a range of programmes: from children and youth activities in our library to outreach to community groups, schools, and early childhood centres.

We will be looking for specific experience with the key role requirements:
- A resilient and reliable all-rounder who demonstrates initiative, collaborates effectively, and positively influences others.
- Experience working with tamariki and rangatahi, with a focus on planning and delivering children's programmes and events.
- Excellent communication skills, a strong people focus, and fosters positive relationships with the team and community.
- Comfortable with technology and able to assist customers in using library resources and devices.
