As a reputable, leading recruitment company seeking reliable Class 2 Truck Drivers to join a dynamic team in Penrose, Auckland, on a full-time, temp/contract basis. Key Responsibilities:
Operate Class 2 manual trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites and facilities
Safely load and unload materials, ensuring proper securing during transport
Assist with setting up and operating related equipment
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure timely project completion and deliveries
Maintain accurate records, including timesheets and material logs
Communicate regularly with dispatch and team members to coordinate deliveries and overcome logistical challenges
Perform heavy lifting tasks, including manual handling of materials up to 25 kilograms when necessary
Qualifications:
Valid Class 2 driver's license with a clean driving record
Dangerous Goods (DG) license (preferred)
Proven experience driving manual heavy trucks, particularly in an industrial environment (e.g., transporting large materials or equipment)
Physical ability to handle tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing materials
Strong understanding of safety practices, both in driving and in an industrial environment
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Physical stamina to perform manual labour when required
