We seek a Systems and Inventory Specialist for our Christchurch Regional Distribution Centre based in Hornby, supporting our operations with proactive and effective management of site systems and inventory to ensure we put the right products in consumers hands as simply and safely as possible.

This role is critical to the successful operation of our DC, is highly analytical, yet also has significant focus on communicating with people at all levels to solve problems, and to lead inventory operators to support the achievement of efficient and smooth running of DC operations.

Sunday to Thursday 13:30 - 22:00

About You | Mōu

  • 3 years of Systems and Inventory experience
  • SAP systems experience
  • Ability to communicate well with all DC staff and leaders
  • Staff leadership experience

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

  • Provide innovative inventory solutions to maximise efficiency
  • Create and implement cost efficiencies for the DC operation
  • Run reports to support the Operation Team to meet our Customers’ needs
  • Provide a customer focus to supermarket stores dealing with claims, transfers and discounted stock
  • Slot and relay products for maximum efficiency and safety
  • Understand and make decisions based on KPI analysis
  • Deliver prompt and professional WMS support to all site systems users
  • Conduct system testing as required for business continuity
  • Manage the inventory in the DC - code dates, cycle counts, damages and much more
  • Leadership of inventory operators
  • Participate in and drive your own development.


Please note, you will need to be flexible based on operational requirements.​​​

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid experience in warehouse / logistics or stock control and an understanding of Supply Chain Systems and Operations who enjoys a mix of hands-on day to day work as well as the necessary administrative support functions.
