Job Description

  • New Year Start + Competitive Hourly Rate + PPE Supplied
  • Monday- Friday Working Hours + Consistent Work Schedule + Great Work-Life Balanc
  • Develop Your Skills + Work with An Internationally Recognised Company

You are the go-to person on the floor-troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving production issues while supporting your colleagues to keep operations running smoothly. As a key member of the team, you'll set up, operate, and maintain a range of machinery to ensure smooth, efficient production of our client's globally recognized products.

This role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Attendance at work is critical to ensure the operation is appropriately resourced. There is some manual handling required on occasion, and you are on your feet for several hours, so a reasonable level of fitness and strength and agility is required.

The right candidate will be a seasoned process worker looking for a consistent Monday to Friday roster and leadership opportunities.

This role is a temporary assignment for approximately 4-12 weeks, with our client offering permanent employment for the right candidate!

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • To hold good health and safety practices in the highest regard
  • Demonstrate leadership and common sense
  • Proficiency in numeracy and literacy
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • A 'Can do' attitude
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role
  • Forklift Operation experience is a bonus, but not required

While experience in the food manufacturing industry is advantageous, it's not essential. If you're eager to learn and possess strong teamwork qualities, this opportunity is for you.

Key tasks include:

  • Setting up machinery according to production specifications
  • Overseeing the efficient operation of the production line and equipment
  • Troubleshooting and resolve machinery issues
  • Accurate completion of quality and operations documentation
  • Ensuring a clean environment and safe food handling
  • Hazard identification and reporting

To be considered for this position, please apply online and attach a current CV and any relevant employment related certificates. If you would like to discuss this opportunity, please call Brodie on 03 477 4036.

  • All appointments subject to pre-employment drug-test, security check and work-related references.
  • Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
