About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company specialising in reconditioning and manufacturing. Located in Auckland, Penrose, our client is seeking Class 2 or Class 4 Truck Drivers to join their team on a full-time, temp/contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company in the industrial sector that values safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 2 or Class 4 vehicles to transport materials, and equipment to and from job sites and facilities
• Safely load and unload materials, ensuring they are properly secured during transport
• Assist in the setup and operation of equipment related to manufacturing and reconditioning
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and deliveries
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including timesheets and material logs
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve logistical challenges
• Perform heavy lifting tasks, including the manual handling of materials up to 25 kilograms as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 2 or Class 4 driver's license with a clean driving record
• Clean driving record with no major infractions or accidents
• Valid Dangerous Goods (DG) license
• Previous experience in driving heavy trucks, ideally in an industrial setting (e.g., transport of large materials or equipment)
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading, unloading, and securing materials
• Strong understanding of safety practices in driving and in an industrial work environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Physical stamina and the capability to perform manual tasks as required
