What You'll Do
As a Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting the effective application of risk management frameworks and best practices across the organisation. Your insights will help enhance risk maturity, strengthen decision-making, and ensure a proactive approach to managing risk. You'll provide guidance and oversight, monitoring the implementation of risk policies to ensure consistency and effectiveness. In addition, you'll support a strong risk culture by offering commercial advice that aligns with broader business objectives. You may also take on subject matter expertise in specific operational risk areas.
Promote the effective application of risk management frameworks and working practices
Provide expert risk management guidance, challenge, and support to strengthen business processes
Offer pragmatic risk insights that enhance organisational decision-making and risk maturity
Monitor the application of risk management policies to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and practicality
Influence a positive risk culture by providing commercial advice that supports business objectives
Act as a subject matter expert in one or more areas within operational risk
Experience Needed
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management within financial services, consultancy, or a corporate environment. You will possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, and a proactive mindset. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to navigate complex risk environments.
Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management within financial services, consultancy, or a related field
High personal drive, enthusiasm, and integrity
Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically and solve complex problems
Experience advising senior management on risk, assurance, culture, or conduct matters
Strong written and verbal communication skills
