Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Partnerships and Harm Prevention Team supports implementation of cross-agency work programmes aimed at combating organised crime and building community resilience. As a Principal Advisor, you will be responsible for driving delivery of the Transnational Organised Crime (TNOC) Strategy across government, and in partnership with private and non-government sectors. You will also provide secretariat services to the TNOC governance groups and directly support the Police executive members who chair these groups. While the team is housed at Police, you will work on behalf of all partner agencies involved in implementing the TNOC Strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Present complex issues clearly (written or verbal) to a range of audiences, including regular reporting and briefings.
  • Effectively engage and build relationships with stakeholders, both public and private.
  • Identify barriers to success, generate solutions and make decisions.
  • Manage competing demands and high workloads at times.
  • Leading development and implementation of plans, projects, or initiatives, including the refresh of the TNOC Strategy.
  • Supporting cross-agency governance and providing secretariat services.
  • Supervising and coaching staff and supporting team management.
