We are a small team in a busy, rural but well-equipped workshop. We work on a wide range of vehicles, equipment and marine of all ages so experience in a variety of these areas is a huge advantage.
You will preferably have your WOF authority but, if not, a willingness and eligibility to get it is essential.
You will: - Have previous experience working in a workshop environment - Thrive on a challenge and enjoy problem solving - Be customer focused - Enjoy working to a high standard and be committed to doing the job right first time - Have a great attitude and contribute to a positive work environment - Have a current, full, clean drivers license - Be a NZ resident or citizen or hold a current NZ work Visa - Qualifications preferred but not essential – proof of 5 or more years' fulltime experience in an automotive workshop is required
Tasks include:
Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
Repairing or replacing worn or broken parts including transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes
Dismantling, repairing and reassembling vehicle parts as required, ensuring proper performance
Performing scheduled servicing
Performing repairs identified during WOF inspections and ensuring they are repaired and operating to a warrantable standard
Attending vehicle breakdown call outs

A competitive hourly rate based on skills and experience - $28 - $34 per hour
Full time role - Minimum of 30 hours per week
This is a role with huge variety and an opportunity to work with a team who work hard but like to have a laugh while they do it.
Akaroa is a small but stunning town just over 1 hour from Christchurch - far enough away to feel like you living life in a permanent holiday, but close enough to the city for a weekend city fix!
