He angitūtanga / The opportunity:

We are looking for a positive, energetic and reliable Cleaning Assistant to join our senior living site CHT Te Awamutu. This is a Permanent Part-Time position.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for;

  • Cleaning all bathrooms and toilets, rooms and offices.
  • Vacuuming and polishing floors.
  • Emptying rubbish.
  • Maintaining and storing cleaning equipment and chemicals, and any other general cleaning duties as required.
  • You will also need to manage cleaning duties in a timely manner and to adhere to health, safety and security procedures.

  • You will have a high attention to detail.
  • Be willing to go the extra mile and take pride and ownership of the role.
  • You will have high standards in personal presentation, as well as a have a friendly, helpful, outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
  • You will demonstrate good working knowledge of commercial cleaning and infection control procedures and be flexible to work under short notice.
  • Ideally you will have previous cleaning experience in an aged care environment.
  • Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for customer service and quality.
