Te Tūranga | The role:  Employee Experience Lead - Kaimahi Māori

We are seeking a passionate Employee Experience Lead to join our team for a 12-month parental leave cover. As an integral part of the People Team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering exceptional moments within our people experience journey. You will lead and drive the rollout and delivery of experiences for kaimahi Māori and lead the design and implementation of our evolving Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. You will work collaboratively with our wider People team, Māori team, our DEI Council and employee groups, and other key stakeholders to create an equitable and inclusive workplace that reflects and celebrates our commitment to Te Ao Māori, while also advancing our broader DEI goals.

Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful? 

You will have demonstrated and delivered impactful employee experience initiatives with a passion to improve well-being and development of Māori and diverse employee groups in a corporate organisation. You will also have an understanding of and exposure to new ways of working - e.g., agile operating models, design thinking and successfully leading teams through transformational change. 

You will be an excellent communicator working effectively with stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives. Passion and understanding of te reo and tikanga Māori and knowledge of best DEI practices will be critical to the overall success of this role.

Other key attributes include:

  • Demonstrated significant commercial acumen.
  • Previous experience gained at senior leadership level in this field
  • Ability to balance different perspectives/priorities and create optimal solutions
