This is a newly created opportunity supporting a Global Biopharmaceutical company who have entered the New Zealand Oncology market, dedicated to transforming patients' lives through innovative medicines in oncology, haematology, immunology and cardiovascular disease.

This is a critical national role for a unique customer model to execute the aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients.

Reporting to the Country Commercial Director, New Zealand, your responsibilities as the Therapeutic Area Specialist will include:

• Growing sales of your portfolio across New Zealand
• Engaging and developing relationships with Healthcare providers across key hospital accounts & private clinics
• Applying clinical evidence to build confidence in your brand
• Collaboration with your cross functional team

About you

• You will come from an Oncology/Specialist Medical Sales background and have relevant New Zealand hospital key account management experience
• You will have a tertiary qualification in Health, Science of Business with a healthcare background with a minimum of 3 years pharmaceutical experience
• You will be a natural self-starter and get a thrill from making new connections and driving new business.
• You will possess strong business acumen and time management skills combined with strong product and disease state knowledge; demonstrate strong scientific expertise and understanding for scientific resources; in depth excellent customer engagement and relationship building capability, have outstanding communication skills; with the ability to effectively work closely and in collaboration with a passionate cross functional team
• What's more important is your willingness to take your account management skills and be willing to embrace a new environment where you can make a significant impact

This a 12 month contract position, plus car allowance, medical insurance and incentives.

As this is a National role there will be travel required so the ability to travel regularly is a must.
