This is a 9-month fixed-term opportunity covering maternity leave, working for a tight-knit family-owned business based in Porirua. You will be part of an organisation who are going through a period of growth, and are looking for someone to come in and be the connection between operations and the customer. For the right person, there is potential to stay on past the 9-month period.
Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role involves customer communication and administrative support within a manufacturing/trades company. You’ll be the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and text, ensuring their requests and information are accurately recorded. Additionally, you’ll coordinate with the internal team, assist with administrative tasks, and support operations by scheduling site measure calls, processing job orders, and managing delivery updates.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate directly with customers via phone, email, text etc (primary
inbound/outbound point of contact)
Reflect information from customers accurately in Click Up (via comments, updating due
dates, titles etc)
Communicate effectively with the internal team
Cover admin tasks where required
Make site measure pre-booking calls weekly
Communicate Late Addition site measure requests
Create remake tasks within Click Up
Send delivery and deposit texts via automated system
Create handrail job cards / work orders when required
Work closely with the operations manager to ensure good cohesion throughout the operation
Key Skills:
Well organised - ability to effectively complete tasks in a timely way
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Good phone manner - polite and well spoken
Practical / logical thinker - ability to see implications of communication and understand actions required
Willingness to learn, adapt and understand nuance
Prior experience in customer service for manufacturing or trades company
