Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Teacher and be a guiding light for curiosity and growth! As an ECE kaiako with us, you will help foster a love for learning in a supportive environment. With our focus on building strong relationships and creating a sense of belonging, pave the way for lifelong success for our tamariki!

This part time role offers 25 hours per week from Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 3:00pm.

About us:

At Busy Bees Ōtāhuhu Early Education Centre, we value every tamati and see them as unique and a special taonga. We are in the heart of Ōtāhuhu and have a cosy nursery, a separate toddler space, and an adventurous preschool environment to provide excellent childcare and education. We promote the development of active and confident learners who think, question, seek information and apply knowledge to the best of their ability. Our team strongly value relationships with our childcare centre whānau and the wider community.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Huge reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum and regular and emergent reviews
  • A personality that builds and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whānau
  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • A nurturing, caring disposition, and passion for supporting young children to thrive
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
  • Excellent communication skills
