About the Role: 

We are looking for someone passionate about teaching young children who is currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE programme (ECE Bachelor).

This is a permanent part time position, starting with 18 hours per week over 3 days a week. There is the expectation that this will increase over time as numbers increase within the Centre. The role begins in January 2025.

You will be working alongside our over 2-year-old tamariki, in our prep space where children are empowered to choose activities and engage in learning experiences throughout the day. Our prep school provides a wide range of experiences, activities and equipment to support inquiry learning whereby they can plan and monitor their own experiences. Our teaching team are committed to crafting dynamic and enriching educational opportunities that are both enjoyable and stimulating for all children. There will be opportunities overtime to work closely within our Nursery & Toddler rooms as well.

Role requirements:

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:

  • Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
