Join our team at Victoria University of Wellington as a Kitchen Assistant. This is a Permanent Full Time position rostered during the education terms. You will be responsible for delivering a quality catering service to our customers, ensuring all tasks are performed with due regard for Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
Provide a warm, friendly, and welcoming style of service to all customers.
Maintain clean and tidy dining and kitchen areas, including cleaning tables, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Assist with preparing and presenting food, including portioning and plating for service.
Handle waste and linen, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Communicate effectively in the workplace, following routine instructions and relaying information as needed.

Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
Experience in a similar role, preferably in a catering environment.
Flexible approach and attitude, with good communication skills.
Hardworking, physically fit, and reliable.
Able to pass police clearance.
