Do you have a passion for education and extensive experience working with a range of animals? Were on the lookout for a dedicated Teaching Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent full time (37.5h p/w) position based in Palmerston North at our ManawatΕ« campus.

  • Engage in Teaching Excellence: Dive into our undergraduate veterinary programme and guide students through their educational journey with enthusiasm and expertise.
  • Hands-On Learning: Assist in practical classes and laboratory sessions, providing invaluable support to students as they develop essential skills.
  • Take charge of organizing, setting up, running, and cleaning up practical teaching spaces, ensuring a seamless learning experience for all.


🌟 Requirements:

  • A relevant bachelors degree or higher with a focus on Veterinary Science, Veterinary Technology, or Animal Science.
  • Essential: Extensive animal handling experience across various farm and companion animal species. Desirable: Previous experience in teaching within clinical and practical class settings.
  • Passion for teaching, stellar communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are a must!


The salary range is at a Professional Grade 4 (2024), ranging from $48,596 – $71,027 (NZD). Salary will be negotiable by background/experience.
