He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:
We have an opportunity for a Container Terminal Team Leader to run the day-to-day supervision and management of the operators at our Container Terminal Site.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate the functions associated with container transfer operations whilst managing the workload and performance of the team
Ensure both inbound and outbound freight is moved accurately, efficiently, and safely within the guidelines of KiwiRail’s workplace standards
Ensure utilisation, departure time, out turn and other KPI’s are consistently achieved or exceeded
Develop strong and connected relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring customer commercial needs, operational and delivery requirements are met
Ensure that continuous improvement and customer service are at the heart of your work
Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What (skills) you will bring:
Full NZ Class 1 Driver’s License, Class 2 is desirable
3 years’ experience in Container Terminal Operations or relevant industry
Fully licensed as a Container Terminal Operator (TO level 3 or above preferred)
Operating knowledge of CTMS/Amicus (preferred)
Ability to influence, motivate and lead others
Be an ambassador for safe working procedures
Strong ability to establish and foster relationships with all relevant stakeholders internally and externally with excellent communication skills
An analytical mindset and ability to pro-actively think on your feet and find solutions
Ability to prioritize competing demands and be deadline focussed
