HealthCare NZ is a leading provider of in-home and community-based health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support. Our aim is to support people to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible and to maintain their independence regardless of age, injury, illness or disability.

Whether you are looking for flexibility around other commitments or would prefer regular rostered shifts, we have a variety of part-time and casual options on offer.

We are looking for a Weekend Support Worker in Palmerston North

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a dedicated team, you'll support clients to live independently in their homes and communities. You'll help them achieve their goals and reach their potential through practical and emotional support, following a personalized care plan. Tasks may include:

  • Meal preparation
  • Medication supervision
  • Community outings
  • Personal cares (e.g., showering, toileting)
  • Home management (e.g., cleaning, organising)

Earn between $23.38 - $29.10 per hour (based on experience and qualifications). We offer flexibility due to a variety of shifts available starting at 7am till 9pm, Monday to Sunday. Part-time and casual positions available.

This is an opportunity to join New Zealand's largest community healthcare provider with the potential to gain experience in a variety of disciplines including aged care, disability, mental health and rehabilitation. Whilst you will be part of a large national organisation, you will join a dedicated and close-knit team.

What are we looking for?

  • Must be willing to travel to Feilding
  • Able to work weekends
  • Positive attitude with a passion for helping others and striving for excellence
  • Previous caregiving experience is an advantage but not a must—willingness to learn is key!
  • Strong communication skills
  • Healthcare qualifications are a plus
  • Most positions require a full NZ driver's license and reliable transport
