Mō te tūranga | About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in infrastructure project management. This role focuses on a data centre migration managing the cutover and migration of Network services to minimise the technology services disruption and any impact to the end customer.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the programme team, driving the delivery of expedient migration outcomes.
  • Collaborate with PM peers to align around key dependencies.
  • Ensure transparency by making progress evident in alignment with a visible and agreed plan.
  • Maintain objectivity in reporting with a strong data-driven approach.
  • Navigate high maturity enterprise environments and manage complexity effectively.
  • Quickly master processes to ensure compliance, including Change and Release Management, Data Privacy, and Outsourcing Governance.
  • Produce mandatory delivery lifecycle artefacts.
  • Actively seek stakeholder validation and challenge to build engagement around an agreed plan.
  • Facilitate and coordinate complex changes, influencing peers to drive change.
  • Utilize primary tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Tech PM – Networks Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage the flow of work through a network squad assembled to support a data centre migration.
  • Collaborate with Architecture and other Migration Managers to quickly develop and document the migration approach.
  • Work with Architects and Designers to elaborate details for engineering engagement.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to discover application traffic flows, enabling the development and implementation of firewall and load balancer policies.
  • Provision connectivity to enable the relocation of network services.
  • Working with other PMs handling connectivity changes, engaging service providers, and WBC SNS.

  • Expertise in managing complex projects in high maturity enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong data-driven approach and excellent reporting skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and master compliance processes.
