Community Support Worker Jobs in New Zealand

We are looking for an admin superstar to be the heart of our centre! From keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes to greeting families with a smile, you will play a key role in supporting our team, whānau and tamariki.

This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday – No weekend work!

Key Responsibilities:

• Face to face interactions with parents, children and visitors to the Centre
• Maintenance of our childcare management system (Discover) - data entry, data audits, parent invoicing and payment receipts
• Answering and directing telephone calls, timely, accurately and professionally
• Daily and weekly reports and data collation as required by the Centre Manager
• Supplying information to our Support Office in line with daily and weekly reporting requirements
• Any other general admin-based tasks as required and requested

The role will require the candidate to provide a high level of support to the Centre Manager through effective management of administration systems and high levels of communication with both enrolled families and external organisations.

About You:

• Outstanding customer service ability – warm, friendly, and welcoming!
• Tech savvy – you will have excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook in particular)
• Exceptional organisational and administration skills with a fastidious eye for detail
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work with good problem solving ability
• Flexibility, and a willingness to step in and support others as required
• Knowledge of WINZ funding entitlements and experience using a childcare management system is preferred but not essential
• You will need to be available to travel to the centres to complete various administrative tasks
• Experience with accounts, invoices and debts is advantageous
