Job Description
Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our close-knit Dunedin team. If you have been working in the domestic or commercial arenas and would like to gain some valuable industrial experience, we are open to helping you with this. Exposure to control systems, VSDs, and instrumentation is guaranteed, and we have experienced people to help get you up to speed.

Reporting to the Project Manager you will:

  • be responsible for working with a team of electricians, automation engineers, and apprentices.
  • have an opportunity to be mentored and to mentor to develop yourself and others.
  • work with electrical instrumentation, control, and automation assets
  • be involved in the design, project management, planning, procurement, commissioning, and documentation of water and wastewater electrical assets and utilities assets.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Electrical Engineer, National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or EWRB Registered Electrician
  • An innovative and technically inclined mind
  • A strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Solid computer skills and exposure to a wide variety of computer applications
  • A current driver's license – class 1 minimum
