Working as part of an international team, you will help clients manage their global mobility program using the following skills and experience. You will also research and advise clients in relation to broad New Zealand employment tax obligations. In this role, you will have access to training, coaching and support that’s available to help grow your career even further!


  • Demonstrate technical and industry expertise to manage Global Mobility tax engagements and cross border income tax advice, individual tax compliance, pre departure and repatriation tax planning, hosting of client meetings
  • Support clients with review and management of broad employment tax advice including PAYE, Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT), ACC, KiwiSaver etc.
  • Supervise and coach tax consultants and seniors, including delegation and review of tax technical advice ensuring delivery, quality and risk management practices are adhered to within the team.
  • Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress, and providing on-the-job feedback and training.
  • Manage team and project resources and budgets effectively
  • Balance multiple priorities by considering importance, urgency, and impact on key relationships
  • Contribute to client projects, supporting EY’s Senior Managers and Partners along with the HR teams, Executives and Boards of major companies
  • Identify and pursue specific sales strategies for existing and target clients to generate new revenue.
  • Develop and maintain substantive and meaningful relationships with client personnel (New Zealand and global), global EY teams and business partners.

  • A bachelor’s degree minimum tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Finance or Law with strong academic credentials
  • CA or Tax qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years New Zealand Tax experience, including experience in the areas of Global Mobility and/or Employment Tax
  • An appetite to develop a career in the Global Mobility / Employment Tax area
  • Prior experience in a professional services environment and across large global clients
  • Highly developed people management skills including relevant experience in managing and developing individuals and teams
  • Proven research and analytical skills
  • High standard of written and oral communication, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge-sharing mindset
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality outcomes
  • Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast-paced environment
