Job Description

About the Role

We’re seeking two contract Desktop Engineers on behalf of some of NZ’s best known brands for an exciting project running from February to October 2025. You’ll play a pivotal role in upgrading POS systems, refreshing hardware, and migrating operating systems. This role involves on-site work and travel across the Lower North Island, offering a unique chance to contribute to a vital initiative while working in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Upgrade POS systems at multiple sites.
  • Perform Windows 10 to 11 migrations and hardware refreshes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop infrastructure issues.
  • Provide remote and on-site support to ensure smooth transitions.


Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in desktop engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 & 11).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Full NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
  • Collaborative attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding support.
