The Company

Is a forward-thinking, well-resourced engineering company specialising in geological, geotechnical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering.

Kiwi owned, the company provides high quality products and services in a timely manner to enhance client’s success in their endeavours.

They have a diverse portfolio of forward work in the commercial, residential, coastal, central and local government sectors both in Whangarei and across the North Island and as a senior engineer you will play an integral part in project delivery.

Keeping busy will be easy but a balance between work and life is compulsory at the company and their flexible working hours support this.

The Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for taking an autonomous, but inclusive, approach to project and client management, preparing plans, investigations and reports, managing project budgets and deliverables.

Site visits would be undertaken as required depending on project requirements.

There is a strong team to provide support but if you like autonomy you can make this role your own and genuinely contribute to your own future and ours.

About You

  • Bachelor / Masters of Engineering (Civil) or Bachelor/ Masters of Science (Geology)
  • 5+ years’ experience working with NZ Standards.
  • Proficiency with industry standards and geotechnical software, e.g. Slide, Cliq, CPeT-IT
  • Solid experience with geological and geomorphological assessments.
  • The intention to work towards CPEng or PEngGeol would be advantageous
  • Being client-focused.
  • Having enthusiasm, confidence, initiative and a can-do attitude.
  • Commercial awareness.
