Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery assembly and cabinet making, with the ability to wet spray being a bonus. This position requires someone who is reliable, possesses excellent time management skills, communicates effectively, and is conscientious about health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Construct and repair cabinets, furniture, fixtures, and other high-quality products from variety of materials
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Select materials and create cutting lists
- Operate machinery and hand tools
- Wet spray finishes on cabinet components as needed
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a joiner or cabinet maker
- Ability to wet spray a definite plus
- Strong knowledge of techniques, materials, and tools
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Clear communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and quality
- Health and safety conscious
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
Day-to-Day
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to build cabinets and other products
- Operate machinery such as saws, drills, and sanders
- Wet spray finishes on cabinet components as required
- Communicate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
