We are looking for an experienced Café Chef to join the team at Paihia’s newest food and coffee hub: High Tide Café & Eatery! 🌊 ☕️
Now under new management, High Tide Café & Eatery (formerly Café #10) is the largest seated café in Paihia’s city centre and is quickly becoming a local favourite. With a growing team, exciting renovations planned for mid-2025, and a fresh new brand on the way, we’re looking for a passionate and creative Café Chef to be part of our journey.
About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for an energetic and motivated Café Chef with short-order cooking experience to help shape and grow our breakfast and lunch menu. As we gear up for our rebrand and renovations, we need someone who can bring fresh ideas and a modern, health-focused approach while helping us expand our offerings and establish a strong lunch menu.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation.
- Manage and stock the cabinet with fresh, healthy, and visually appealing food options.
- Assist with food preparation and stock management to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Maintain high hygiene standards and an efficient, well-organized kitchen.
- Bring your creativity! You’ll play a key role in redesigning our breakfast menu and launching our lunch offerings.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with:
✔️ At least 3 years of experience in café or restaurant kitchens.
✔️ A passion for high-quality food and the ability to thrive under pressure.
✔️ A great personality and strong teamwork skills—no hotheads, please!
✔️ Creativity and a drive to contribute to our exciting new menu.
✔️ Bonus points if you have baking skills!
