Job Description

Ko wai mātou – About us
Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square right? That’s us!
With 300+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life. Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve, and we celebrate our people - our taonga, every day for being uniquely them.

Our Support Centre is 1,000+ people strong, which includes 300+ IT employees, who all play a vital role in ensuring the cogs of our Co-op stay turning and our systems stay ‘byte’-sized and ‘bug’-free.”.

Te Tūranga – About the role
As a SAP Test Specialist at FSNI, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. Embedded within an Agile Delivery Squad and connected to the FSNI QA Practice, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring robust, efficient, and customer-centric delivery.

Far from being "just a tester," you’ll be a collaborative problem-solver, working on dynamic projects that demand a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for quality. Alongside this, other responsibilities will include:

  • Agile Collaboration: Actively engage with your squad, contributing beyond testing to ensure successful sprint delivery.
  • Test Planning & Execution: Write concise test plans, execute functional tests, and manage complex business and technical requirements (e.g., web services and integrations).
  • Quality Advocacy: Champion quality practices within your squad and the broader QA Practice while aligning with and improving FSNI’s QA strategy.
  • Automation-First Mindset: Build, enhance, and utilize test automation frameworks, exploring new tools and methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on the integrity of test environments, assess new technologies, and advocate for better ways of working.

This is your opportunity to join a leading organisation, drive quality excellence, and make a tangible impact on how FSNI delivers value to its customers.

Agile Experience: Proven experience working in Agile environments (e.g. Scrum or Kanban), with expertise in Agile testing practices, defect management, and process improvement.
SAP Expertise: Hands-on experience in SAP modules such as SD, WMS, TMS, or EWM, and the ability to understand and test complex integrations.
