Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll become the safety & wellbeing champion for our dynamic, family-owned business. Your job is to reinforce our people-first values in the mix, building a solid HS&W foundation in our fast-paced, customer-focused business. In this pivotal role, you are vital to ensuring our 250+ team members across New Zealand return home safely every day.
Your Impact:
You'll transform safety & wellbeing culture by partnering with leaders to lift standards across all operations. With part-time administrative support, you'll:
Guide our business leaders in mixing robust safety & wellbeing systems into our daily operations
Pour your expertise into developing engaging training that builds physical and mental wellbeing
Identify and mitigate risks through proactive assessments, inspections, and incident investigations
Implement wellbeing initiatives that make a difference to the people we care for, while keeping us on the right side of legislation and best practices
Form solid relationships with regulatory bodies while leading our emergency preparedness
Your Strengths:
Level 4+ H&S qualification from a recognised provider
5+ years in safety leadership with a coaching mindset that drives positive behaviour
Sharp communication skills that build trust at all levels
Analytical thinking to translate data into actionable insights
Valid driver's license with flexibility for nationwide travel
Palmerston North-based (or willing to relocate)
