About Us
At Hutt City Council, our vision is to build a connected, resilient, and inclusive city where all our people thrive—Kia noho mai tēnei tāone hei pou herenga waka, hei pou herenga kaupapa, hei wāhi whai hua ki hōna iwi.

Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi is a transformational project for Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai - Lower Hutt. It includes crucial flood protection and river restoration work, improvements to public transport, walking and cycling routes, local roads, and the SH2 Melling Interchange. The project also focuses on urban revitalisation in the Lower Hutt city centre and a new City Link bridge over the river—turning Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai - Lower Hutt into a true river city and placing our taonga, Te Awa Kairangi / Hutt River, at the heart of our community. Developing in harmony with our environment will help us build a strong, vibrant, and progressive city.

About the Role

  • A bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
