Piling Rig Operator- Temp to perm Role
About the opportunity:
We are looking for experienced Piling Rig Operator/Dogmen for a large on-going project in Auckland. This is a temp assignment that will initially go for 3 months but is likely to extend.
You will work within our client's established rigging team to be involved in:
- Operating Piling rigs for driving or drilling piles across projects
- Conduct daily machine safety checks
- Ensure precise placement of piles according to project specifications
- Direct workers engagement in operating machines to drive piling and sheets
- Adhere to health and safety legislation
- Maintain accurate logs and reports
- Read and Interpret gauges, meters and instruments
About the Company:
Our Client is highly experienced and technical piling teams who have been in the piling industry for 20 years and have worked with Tier 1 main contractors to achieve major projects across New Zealand.
Skills + Experience:
- To apply you will need:
- Certificate for Rigging & Crane Operation (NZQA Unit Standards 3789, 3801, 3795, 3794)
- EWP Certified
- 2+ years experience as an operator, Crawler Crane experience in piling, civil earthworks or mining
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
- Strong Leadership and time management skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly and communicate with construction workers on site
- A full NZ Driver's Licence and a clean criminal record
- Must pass drug test
- Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- It would also be preferable for you to have:
- Tower Crane driving experience
- Mobile Crane driving experience
- Fork hoist licence
