As the Commercial Relationship Manager, you’ll take the helm in providing guidance and direction to ensure our customers in New Zealand are more financially resilient and sustainable. Your influence will extend across the business, driving culture, advocating for change, and fostering collaboration. With a clear focus on customer outcomes, you’ll guide your team to use data and insights to build knowledge, solve problems, and achieve results that matter.

The key responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Building sustainable long-term client relationships and growing critical customer portfolios
- Align with overall business strategies to source and maximise new business, increase effectiveness and keep up to date with market and economic trends
- Support customer with their banking needs by simplifying practices and delivering great customer outcome
- Provide customers with effective, value-added solutions whilst managing potential risks and applying financial analysis to identify key insights

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A successful track record in customer relationship management, risk management and an ability to influence outcomes
- Ability to build rapport, handle tough conversations with empathy, and remain calm and assured in stressful situations
- Business acumen and strong negotiation skills to understand customer strategies and offer creative solutions
- Financial analysis and credit writing skills
- Business advisory or accounting skills
- A growth mindset and passion to grow your commercial banking career
