Mō te tūranga - About the role
As an Enterprise Agile Coach in our Performance Centre of Excellence, you will be instrumental in improving business performance by guiding teams to work strategically and effectively within an agile framework. You will deliver critical coaching to Delivery and Leadership teams, empowering them to improve performance within their teams and across delivery streams. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and address challenges, enhancing overall performance delivery and promoting agile best practices.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
As an Enterprise Agile Coach, you will:

  • Support organisational agility by influencing leadership in alignment to organisational culture, design and governance.
  • Evolve and scale agile across the organisation, ensuring practices remain adaptable to meet the unique needs of different teams and functions.
  • Guide and coach teams, leaders, and stakeholders to adopt agile values, principles and practices tailored to their context. This includes:
  • Coaching leadership to empower their teams, led by example, build trust and psychological safety within their teams
  • Guide teams and leadership through enterprise-wide transformation
  • Optimising workflows to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance speed to value.
  • Support the formation of high-performing teams by improving collaboration, improving delivery engagement and enabling an adaptive culture.
  • Embed a culture of continuous learning, autonomy, experimentation, adaptability, and collaboration across the organisation
  • Promote psychological safety to encourage innovation, collaboration, and adaptability across all levels of the organisation.
  • Guidance on value definition and metrics to support transparency of benefits realisation
  • Mentor Team Coaches by providing guidance on scaling agile, leadership growth and supporting team autonomy
  • Develop and deliver organisation-wide agility training and workshops to build capability and a shared understanding of agile principles, values and behaviours across ANZ.Facilitate the resolution of complex conflicts involving multiple teams or organisational layers


Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong understanding of Agile values and principles and how they can be applied to technical and business teams
  • Knowledge of underlying concepts such as transparency, inspection, adaptation, and theory of constraints etc
  • Previous experience with scaling frameworks
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to help guide coaches, teams and individuals to reflect and problem solve
  • Ability to facilitate agile training workshops, ceremonies and any other meetings as requested
  • Clear and empathetic communication skills that encourages trust and openness within teams
  • Skilled in dealing with resistance in individuals and teams to understand the ‘why’ of agility
  • Ability to create and utilise metrics and data to help guide conversations, decisions, and improvements
  • Experience in engaging and working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Adaptable approach when applying practices to suit different team dynamics, projects, CoE and organisational needs
  • Previous experience of programmes or projects and how agile principles might apply to these
  • Practical experience with key tools such as Jira, Confluence


This is not a step-up role, you will need proven agile coaching experience
