Te Wero - The Challenge
This role will take charge of the comprehensive management, implementation, execution, control, and completion of FNDC capital works projects. Ensure these projects align with the Council's strategies, annual and long-term plan commitments, goals, and contractual obligations. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining consistency and achieving the Council's vision for infrastructure development.
This position reports directly to the Head of Infrastructure and is based in Kaikohe. The role is pivotal in providing regular updates and insights to support strategic decision-making in the Infrastructure Group.
I ā koe - About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
A qualification in project management or equivalent
7 years of relevant experience
Familiarity with NZ Standards of Contract 3910, 3916, 3917
Proficiency in project management methodologies
A strong grasp of the strategic direction, structure, and issues affecting the organisation
The ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A commitment to high-quality work and meeting deadlines
Teamwork skills, including energy, vision, and initiative
Outstanding customer service abilities
Strong time management and organisational skills

The salary for this position is Grade 22 within Council's salary structure, plus Kiwi Saver.
