Job Description

Our client is on the lookout for a PeopleSoft Functional Consultant to join their team in Auckland. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a digital transformation journey within a high performing team that encourages collaboration, empathy and a one-team culture. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with the PeopleSoft Time & Labor module and Global Payroll module, as well as knowledge of New Zealand Payroll processes and compliance rules.

What you'll do:

As a PeopleSoft Functional Consultant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the rule-based engine that interprets data based on timesheets or rosters. You'll be responsible for defining and maintaining customized rules that interpret collective agreements and create data feeding into Global Payroll. Your expertise will be crucial in managing Global Payroll dealing with Earnings, Deductions, legislative requirements and accruals/balances. You'll also have the opportunity to create new rules that interpret collective agreements. Your ability to configure, support, and monitor interfaces to and from PeopleSoft will be highly valued.

  • Maintain rule-based engine that uses custom rules to interpret data based on timesheets or rosters.
  • Define and maintain customized rules for interpreting collective agreements and creating data for Global Payroll.
  • Manage Global Payroll dealing with Earnings, Deductions, legislative requirements and accruals/balances.
  • Create new rules for interpreting collective agreements.
  • Configure, support, and monitor interfaces to and from PeopleSoft.
  • Work effectively in a distributed agile work environment.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts, Product owners and Business owners to understand business needs.
  • Provide functional support to resolve issues or incidents reported on production/test environments.
  • Create and maintain functional design documents for business requirements and implemented solutions.
  • Provide training and mentor junior members in the team.


What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the PeopleSoft Functional Consultant role, you bring along a sound understanding of the PeopleSoft Time & Labor module. Your experience implementing and maintaining this module will be essential for success in this role. You possess extensive hands-on knowledge of Time & Labor integrations with HCM systems like Workday. Your good knowledge of the Global Payroll module will be highly beneficial. Your ability to create customized rules based on business needs and your experience managing and supporting Global Payroll sets you apart.
