The role: This is a 1.0 FTE position working 12 hr rostered shifts (plus on call), across a 24/7 roster in ICU at Mercy Hospital in Epsom, where at least 50% of cases are cardiothoracic. Although your 'home' will be ICU you will also assist in the cardiothoracic surgical ward (CTU) when required.
We need you to join us now, but (just so you know) in mid-2025 our current 6 bed ICU will close and shift into a brand new 12 bed ICU/HDU, in our beautiful new Gilgit wing.

About you - You have:
Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
Minimum of 2 years current experience in a cardiothoracic surgical ICU with excellent clinical skills
confidence in your practice and you are able to work autonomously
the ability to relate to a wide variety of customers including patients and their families, as well as our multidisciplinary teams and surgeons
