The Role
An exciting and challenging opportunity to contribute to the success of the planning team and the growth of the organisation and the district.
Will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the district by facilitating responsible development while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Administer the District Plan and ensure that statutory responsibilities under the Resource Management Act 1991, statutes and regulations are met.
This role will process complex resource consents for compliance with the District Plan.
About You
Extensive knowledge of the Resource Management Act, particularly on resource and subdivision contents
5+ years practical experience in resource management consent processing
Effective time management skills
Excellent skills and proficiency in a range of computer systems and software, and electronic record management systems
Experience in applying engineering standards and codes to subdivisions consent conditions
Proven report writing and confident communication skills
Competence in preparing evidence and presenting at hearings
The ability to embrace change and continuous improvement
The ability to provide planning advice, support and guidance to colleagues and management staff within the organisation, and to ratepayers and members of the public.
