Our FC Compliance team within Line 2 play a leading role in keeping ASB, our customers and communities safe and protected from financial crime and mitigate the risks of money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions, bribery & corruption, and tax evasion.
Mo te tūranga | About the Role:
A newly created opportunity for HO FCC Advisory to support the GM FCC due to increased focus in financial crime transformation and specialized business needs for FC advisory support.
In this role you will lead a culture of FCC compliance within ASB through sound and pragmatic advice.
Lead and develop a specialist FC advisory team, manage multiple and competing stakeholder relationships and lead the provision of Financial Crime advice to the business with subject matter expertise and advice to support projects and change initiatives, ensuring that policy and regulatory requirements are embedded, and that the control environment is robust.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
- Extensive experience in financial crime compliance and an understanding of relevant legislation (AML/CFT, ETS, ABC, Foreign Tax.).
- Working knowledge of banking products and systems.
- Strong knowledge of operational and compliance risk management.
- Ability to build effective relationships, to think strategically and to understand the commercial objectives of a business, to engage easily with senior leaders and executives.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex technical information to non-subject matter experts.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of leading from the front by displaying a positive attitude, high integrity and empathy towards your team and broader stakeholders.
