The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Reporting to the Team Coach, our casual roles provide cover for permanent Support Workers - the hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available. Candidates available for awake night shifts are preferred. We operate 7 days a week.
If this sounds like you? Here are some of the responsibilities required of you:
Support people connect back with their community
Support with cooking, cleaning, gardening and helping with everyday household tasks
Assisting with budgeting and independent daily living
Medication support where required
Attending appointments and advocating for the people we support
You | Mōu
A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
Hold either the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us. We offer our staff significant support to complete this study.
Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts including awake night shifts.
Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Māori and Pasifika are strongly encouraged to apply for this role. Lived experience is also valued.
