The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and self-driven Risk Insurance Adviser to join our high-performing Risk Insurance team.
This role is ideally based in Hastings / Hawkes Bay but we are open to applications from other areas of NZ.
In this position you will provide strategic advice to a portfolio of business and private clients by providing a personalised approach. We work with our clients, their business advisers and accountants to support their risk personal protection need which could include: shareholder protection, key person and business succession protection, business expenses protection, personal advice, income protection ACC reviews, group cover and health insurance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating and communicating with clients to understand their personal and business financial and risk objectives
- Providing strategic, tailored advice and solutions to meet the client requirements
- Servicing and retaining an existing book, delivering solutions to meet client needs, developing relationships and prospecting new opportunities through your strong business development expertise
- Achieving annual revenue targets
- Maintaining professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Supervising day-to-day client service advisory activities

Your skills and experience
- A demonstrated career history in financial services/risk insurance
- A proven track record in business development ideally from within a professional services environment
- Self-driven, autonomous and driven to grow your business
- Level 5 certificate in Financial Services
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
- Diplomatic, personable, and professional
- Collaborative team player
