Breast Cancer Foundation NZ's mission is to prevent New Zealanders from developing and dying of breast cancer and to support patients. They do this by raising awareness for early detection, funding medical research, training, and equipment, supporting patients through their helpline, counselling, and rehabilitation, and advocating for world-class treatments and care.
Taking place in February and March, the NZ House & Garden Tours play a crucial role in funding breast cancer education, research, advocacy, and patient support, helping to ensure we can continue our vital projects and services. Visitors will have the opportunity to step inside the pages of their favourite magazine, enjoying a day of indulgence as they explore exquisite homes and gardens—all while supporting a cause that truly makes a difference!
They need fantastic volunteers! Volunteers are essential to the success of the tours, helping to create an unforgettable experience for visitors while supporting an incredible cause.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Be stationed at one of the houses or at the hub
- Help manage the flow of people
- Assist with car parking
- Look after the houses
- Be the assigned point of contact for the location in your care
Volunteers play a key role in ensuring the tours run smoothly. You’ll help keep the homes safe and ensure that tour guests have a positive experience. Each house will be managed by a team of 4 to 10 volunteers, depending on the size of the property and any special requirements.
Volunteers can choose from the following shift options based on their availability:
- Morning shift: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Afternoon shift: 12:15 PM to 4:15 PM
- Full-day shift: 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM
Please reach out to the team if you have any questions!
