Job Description

Tradestaff is on the lookout for a motivated and physically fit Driller’s Offsider to work casually with a local client.

This role requires a hands-on approach, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork. You must be able to lift 30kgs frequently, often work long hours in an outside environment. Our client is the only geotechnical drilling company based in Hawkes Bay!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the driller with set up and operation of drilling equipment
  • Handle the transport of drilling materials, tools and supplies
  • Assist with the preparation and pack-down of the drilling site
  • Work closely with the driller to meet project objectives
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health & safety guidelines


Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit (lifting 30kgs frequently) and able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Able to break down drilling equipment & store correctly
  • Ability to work in long hours in outdoor environments
  • A good understanding of healthy and safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Full class 1 driver’s license + own vehicle
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
