This company operates across Civil Construction, Vegetation Control, Arboriculture, and Traffic Management, working with some big names in the industry. About the Role:This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive environment and takes satisfaction in seeing a job well done. Reporting to the Operations Manager and 2IC, you’ll be leading a small crews (5-8 people) on multiple civil construction projects simultaneously.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading from the front—this is a hands-on role, so you’ll be on the tools alongside your team.
Following project plans, managing schedules, monitoring attendance, and making sure the work gets done safely and efficiently.
Motivating your team and keeping morale up, no matter the weather.
Jumping in to help where needed—this job involves getting stuck in, getting muddy, and getting the job done.
Running multiple sites at once and keeping everything on track.
Representing the company professionally when dealing with clients, the public, and other stakeholders.
What You’ll Need:
Strong leadership skills—you’re someone your team can count on.
Great communication skills, whether it’s in person, over the phone, or by email.
The ability to manage multiple moving parts and keep everything running smoothly.
A flexible attitude—you’re happy to start early, work long days when needed, and be on-call for nights when required.
A good level of fitness and stamina—this is a physically demanding role.
Experience in civil construction, especially concrete work, with solid references to back it up.
A full Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements would be a bonus).
An understanding of health and safety standards and a commitment to Zero Harm.
Willingness to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test, with ongoing testing as required.
Bonus Skills (Not Essential, but Great to Have):
STMS qualification (or experience in roading safety).
Experience using construction and scheduling software.
